Effective Ways to Avoid Headaches
Certain housing conditions can cause a headache for the residents. Especially for people who are prone to headaches. “The amount of reduced headache enough to get some control factors such as lighting and smells,” says Brian Grosberg, MD, a neurologist.
Approximately how to reduce the number of headaches when at home?
1. Use a light dimmer
“The brain of people suffering from severe headaches often have extra sensitivity to glare from lights or the sun,” said Deborah Friedman, MD, a neurologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
“Quality flickering fluorescent lights can also lead to pain,” added Peter Goadsby, MD, director of the Headache Center at the University of California-San Francisco.
2. Eliminate hidden allergens
If you suffer from allergies, selalin trigger sneezing, usually also can trigger headaches.
Allergens such as mites, dust and fluff can stimulate the nasal passages. Inflame the nasal passages which can release chemicals because of pain signals that can trigger headaches.
3. Eliminates the strong odor
The air quality in most homes is worse than the air outdoors.
4. Control screen gadget that is too bright
Super bright screen of some gadgets (mobile phones, laptops, tablets) can carry the same dangers as the bright lights. White light of the gadget can be too stimulating the brain. “Having a bad posture while using the gadget can make your neck muscles tense and sends pain signals to the brain, leading to headaches,” Dr. Friedman.
